Somatic Healing Yoga

Somatic Healing Yoga is a gentle, trauma-informed practice that helps you safely reconnect with your body, breath, and emotions. You don’t need any yoga experience—this practice is for everyone, especially those healing from trauma, chronic stress, or anxiety.

Through slow, mindful movement and breathwork, you’re invited to explore your body in a way that feels safe and empowering. There’s no pressure to perform or “do it right.” You are always in control, and every session is guided with care, compassion, and respect for your pace and boundaries.


Bridging the Mind-Body Gap

People with trauma often feel disconnected from their physical sensations and emotions because their nervous system has adapted to protect them from overwhelming experiences. This disconnection—known as dissociation—can dull bodily awareness and emotional clarity, making it hard to feel or interpret what’s happening inside. It's a survival mechanism rooted in how trauma affects the brain and body, and healing involves gently rebuilding trust in both through safe, body-aware practices and supportive relationships.

In our somatic healing yoga sessions, we will work towards bridging this gap together. We will learn how to listen to your bodies, identify areas of tension, and understand how these physical manifestations relate to your emotional well-being. This holistic approach fosters emotional regulation, self-discovery, and empowerment.
